Guelmim – Civic Space – 2023/04/27

A glimpse of the participation of the President of the Association, Mr. Hassan Chouiss, in the communicative meeting held by the Guelmim Municipal Council with the Equality, Equal Opportunities, and Gender Approach Committee at the Civic Space headquarters. During this meeting, a report on the main activities of the Committee for the year 2022 was presented, and various points concerning communication mechanisms with the Municipal Council components, as well as the Committee’s working method and work program, were discussed. In this context, some proposals and ideas were presented to contribute to achieving local development and responding to the aspirations of the population, as well as to promote the roles of the Committee and civil society in various social, economic, cultural, sports, and artistic fields. The interventions unanimously emphasized the importance of the Committee’s active role as an advisory and suggestive force in the preparation of the Guelmim Municipality’s Action Plan for the period 2022-2027 at all stages, from territorial diagnosis to project proposals, in a pioneering national example. Finally, it was agreed to strengthen communication bridges between the Committee and the Municipal Council, in addition to proposing a set of activities to be implemented in coordination with the Council within the available resources.
