The plastic arts in the service of social development
The plastic arts in the service of social development is a project aimed at instilling aesthetic values and combating negative phenomena in several neighborhoods of the city of Guelmim, especially around the educational institutions located in these neighborhoods. It is an initiative implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Family, Solidarity, and Social Development, in collaboration with the Regional Academy of Education and Training in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, and the Provincial Directorate of Education and Training in Guelmim.

Mural paintings
Mural art with aesthetic and artistic characteristics aimed at spreading aesthetic values within educational institutions. This activity targeted a group of educational institutions in the city of Guelmim, including Excellence High School, Agricultural Preparatory High School, and others.
Artistic and recreational workshops for children
The association organized art workshops for female and male students as part of the activities of the National School Collaboration Week at March 3 Elementary School. Workshops in visual arts were conducted and supervised for a group of participants aged between 5 and 12 years old, with more than 120 students benefiting from them. In addition to the association’s supervisors, the visual artist Omar Hemi participated in supervising the workshops to encourage emerging talents.
Training courses for young men and women
As part of its desire to strengthen the skillful and cognitive aspect of its members and participants, the association organized a training course in theater, led by Professor Aisha Btessaid, a doctoral researcher specializing in aesthetic education. This course included the presentation of many workshops on actor preparation techniques, concentration techniques, improvisation, audience engagement, and more.
Project impact
The project was crowned with the Best Youth Initiative Award in Kuwait
On Saturday, November 10, 2018, the Association of Young Creators, Kalimim, was awarded the Arab Youth Initiatives Award in Kuwait for its project in visual arts serving social development. Among more than 640 initiatives at the Arab level, 70 initiatives qualified for the final stage. The association clinched the title as one of the best leading youth initiatives at the Arab level, and Mr. Hassan Shweiss, the president of the association, received the award from the organizers.
It is worth mentioning that the association is the sole representative of Morocco among the initiatives that reached the final stages of this Arab competition, earning commendation from the Arab Media Forum, the event’s organizer.
